Es wird angenommen das mit der Ankunft der Griechen (384v.C.) und deren Gründung der Stadt Pharos (Stari Grad) der erste Kontakt der Hvar-Bewohner mit Korallen zu Stande kam....
"CORAL SHOP"
Inspiriert durch die Korallen in unseren Innenhöfen und fasziniert vom Aussehen des mit Korallen und Silber gefertigten Schmucks, haben sich Lukrecija und Aron Schwarz für Handanfertigungen entschlossen. Unter Berücksichtigung der Tatsache das heute Korallen in gerundete formen verarbeitet werden (kreis, rolle ,oval) stets bemüht das natürliche Aussehen des Koralle zum Ausdruck u bringen. In der heutigen Zeit wird Handarbeit zunehmend eine Seltenheit, während diese beiden mit ihrem „Coral Shop“ versuchen sie wiederzubeleben.

Palaca Jakša ist eines der schönsten antiken Gebäude in der Stadt Hvar.
Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts erhielt die Familie Jakša die Erlaubnis, die Aussenmauern ihrer Palace an die Stadtmauern von Hvar zu lehnen, allerdings nur unter der Bedingung, dass sie ständig 3 Wachmänner zum Schutz im Einstatz hatten.
Heute ist der Bau nach höhsten europäischen Standards rennoviert und der antike Geist der alten Palace blieb erhalten.

Underwater Overground trance festival in organization of Zagreb association "Attack" is being held in the bay "Zenčišća" on island Hvar, in duration of 4 days, from 4th till 8th of August. Program of this festival You can find on official web page (www.underwater-overground.com). This musical program will offer on two floors trance, drum and bass, chill out, dub, ambient and many other stiles of electronic music. It is also planned big number of classes, workshops and projections of different movies.

For the fourth time ISLAND, I LOVE YOU drive will also be held on the island of Hvar between April 16th and 18th , 2004. This is a continuation of series of drives of which forerunners were Biševo (September 13,2003), the island of Vis (December 5, 2003) and the island of Lastovo (February 22, 2004).
The aim of the ISLAND, I LOVE YOU drive is to raise the public awareness of problems on the island having at the same time beneficial effect as well as bringing new persons to the island during low season.
The program of the ISLAND, I LOVE YOU drive on Hvar comprises:
- concert ŠOMAZGOON, TOVAREĆA MUŽIKA (Sali), GEGO (Hvar), KALAFAT (Komiža), and IVICA JAKŠIĆ PUKO (Bol);
- Forum ISLAND, I LOVE YOU in Vrbanj, “Matija Ivanić” premises
- workshop “ A WALK THROUGH HISTORY AND NATURE”
