  • 9.What is sojourn tax and where should it be paid?

    According to the law in force on sojourn tax guest is obliged to pay sojourn tax at the time of payment of the accommodation service. The sojourn tax regulated by the law on sojourn tax is from 2,00 to 7,00 kn per adult person a day. Children under 18 have 50% discount while children under 12 do not pay the tax. Total amount of sojourn tax depends on destination and period of sojourn, and will be charged according to the general conditions of HVAR-Travel agency upon the payment of final amount for accommodation once the guest has arrived to the accommodation unit.

  • 10.Where can I find more information on diving and spear-fishing in Croatia?

    In every bigger tourist centre, in harbor master’s office you can get permits for fishing and spear-fishing. Information on diving possibilities in Croatia can be found on Croatian diving association’s site www.diving-hrs.hr

  • 11.Whom can I turn to if I am coming on my own boat and what permits do I need?

    If You are coming on your own boat you should contact the local harbor master’s office which will issue all the necessary permits for sailing in Croatian waters.
